Fix-It-Fast Joist Guard provides complete moisture protection by penetrating surface imperfections in uneven timber, creating a complete seal. Additionally, Fix-It-Fast Joist Guard’s adhesive has the ability to bond with steel fasteners like nails and screws. The adhesive has a unique negative charge that attracts the positive charge of steel, allowing it to form a strong, lasting seal. After curing in approximately 72 to 96 hours, the tape creates a watertight barrier that prevents moisture from damaging your deck’s core structure.
