Dakaflash  incorporates  the  reinforced  aluminium mesh from Wakaflex with the creped aluminium top sheet and butyl backing from Smartform

Dakaflash is a composite laminate flashing consisting of a creped aluminium top sheet with a fully self-adhesive butyl backing. Embedded into this adhesive is the same aluminium mesh that’s inside Wakaflex, which gives Dakaflash rigidity and support, as well as allowing for a smooth contoured finish on the roof surface. Dakaflash can stretch up to 30% in length and has a two-piece protective HDPE backing.

BEST FOR – New build homes, second storey additions, abutments, chimneys, and flashing maintenance. Use on tile, metal, and polycarbonate roofs.

FULLY SELF-ADHESIVE BUTYL BACKING

Being fully butyl backed ensures a neatly sealed and completely waterproof flashing.

INTERNAL ALUMINIUM MESH

Embedded inside each roll is an aluminium honeycomb mesh that provides a lasting profile of the roof and stops any lifting.

CREPED ALUMINIUM SURFACE

Dakaflash has a creped aluminium top sheet which allows it to stretch up to 30% in length.

  • Complies with AS/NZS 4020:2005 ‘Testing of products for use in contact with drinking water’
  • Complies with AS/NZS 2904:1995 ‘Damp Proof Courses and Flashing’
  • BAL-19 approved
  • Easily installation with no specialist tools required
  • Install in full 5m lengths with a 1000mm overlap
  • Compatible with most roofing materials
  • 30% stretchability in length
  • Only to be used on a roof pitch of at least 12°
  • Temperature stability – -40°C to 100°
  • UV resistant in accordance with DIN 16726.
  • Can be painted to match any building design with water based acrylic paint
